Publix Apron's Meal

Yesterday I decided to take advantage of my Publix's Apron's Recipe of the day. I am sure all that live in Florida know what I am talking about by Apron's Meals. When we go to Publix there is a cooking station with copies of a highlighted recipe and then a convenient fridge with all the items you would need to make that meal. I got the meal recipe and then went to the case with all the ingredients and items and grabbed what i needed (some stuff I already had at my house.) In the past, I thought this would be a great idea but every time I glanced over the recipe, I would find ingredients I didn't like and decide not to try it. Yesterday I got over the ingredients and decided to make it no matter what was in it (even though it called for peaches and tomatoes; don't like peaches and only like tomatoes in spaghetti sauce).

Well, today I made the meal, Pork Tenderloin With Fresh Peach Salsa and Wine-Scented Rice! It was a hit! Daniel filled his plate up and bravely topped his pork with a good helping of the salsa - What Faith! I on the other hand, had my doubts. I put the salsa in nice 'small' pile and planed on tasting it. I have to admit, I did get more to finish my pork off. It wasn't that bad, I could swallow it! lol. My kids even ate the left over peach salsa by itself. Daniel really liked it and said that it was a great meal.

I didn't get any pictures of the process nor the meal but the plates were pretty and the meal was well liked by our family. The meal was ready in 45 minutes; by the time we would have made it home from a resturant, dinner was cooked, we were done eating and the kitchen was clean!

Who knows what recipe I will do next? I picked up a couple more meal plans. Some of them were those with less than five ingredients and some were meals under $15.00 for a family of 4. Who Knows? If I keep this up, I could be picked up to star in my own movie about my experience cooking through the Publix Apron's Meals!!! ...or at least a commercial, publix has some good ones :P
